Last weekend, we went to a family retreat with many families from our church. One thing that I realized while listening to the family speaking there is that in all those years since 2020 when we first applied for a diversity visa and first thought about living in the US… we never had one day of fasting and praying for this specifically.

So this year we are changing that, we scheduled a day of the week where both me and Catalina will pray, fast, and look for God’s will in general for our family but in particular we also look for God’s guidance for this specific matter.

I know that God can open locked doors for us but can also lock more. Like, if it is really his will we can move there using other legal means too, not rely on a random lottery.

We’ll see in the next year that lays before us what we will understand about this matter.
